Take jobs as they come -- and we'll never be under the heel of nobody ever again. No matter how long the arm of the Alliance might get, we'll just get ourselves a little further.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I bet perspective police get to wear really cool uniforms...

Or none since they tell the NEKKID truth.

Get well, vw.

Yeah!

So, um, I think I worried mom. She's finishing up at work and coming here soon. Oops. I didn't mean to worry her.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I bet perspective police get to wear really cool uniforms...

Black long-sleeved tunic-length t-shirt, very very VERY old grey pants, sneakers (since I'm still rehabbing my twice-sprained ankle, there are very few pairs of shoes I can wear for 8 hours at a stretch).

So, the perspective police uniform is kind of monochromatic. Which is either really apt, or just plain sad.

So, um, I think I worried mom. She's finishing up at work and coming here soon. Oops. I didn't mean to worry her.

It's impossible to NOT worry a mom. They get a Worry Chip implanted when they deliver their first child, and they no longer have another peaceful night's sleep. Ever.

If she doesn't worry about pneumonia, mono, RSV and barely breathing, she's never going to worry about anything.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I found an official Fashion Police badge. (really!) I'm just WAITING for an opportunity to pull that out.

I just got an e-mail from my therapist, checking in on me, because she saw updates in my medical record (the ER visit last night and all of the diagnoses). She was challenging me to practice mindfulness to get through this and not get stuck in "blaming" myself for being sick--as if this is just continuation of ineffective patterns of dealing with stress.

And it's got me thinking. I wonder if I'm sicker, because I was afraid that that was what was happening (that mental stress was manifesting as physical illness), so I just kept pushing and pushing, trying to break the pattern, until everything just built up and made me stop and pay attention.

I'm not going to use this as another tool to beat myself up with, but boy, that's a little frightening. Mindfulness. Yes. Need more of that, me thinks.

Oooh, where?! I need one.

Miss vw, I am glaring at the monitor in a stern manner, and it is directed at you. You are unwell and need taking care of, stop worrying about if you worried your mom. Moms worry about their kids, no matter what age the kid in question is.

Thrive to spite them

Poor Bug!

Don't feel bad about needing your Mom you've got three things going on! Most people would have waved the white flag at 1!

um... I'm posting from work, just briefly. I read omni's rant. Sorry stuff irrirating you. I'm flying solo right now! wheee....

and I'm doing okay I reallylike this job. Buffista~ma is the best.

Oh and speaking of ~ma, one of my new Second Life friends' Mom is sick and if anyone has a spare bit of healing ~ma to send out to Rosie's Mom she'd appreciate it. (I won't say more than that becuase I, unlike The Secret, believe the universe if smart enough to get the ~ma to the right person...plus who knows maybe it will go out to all Mom's of Rosie who might need some ~ma).
