[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I've never seen The Tick. I may have to remedy that.

Happy birthday, connie!

This team has occasionally played the system he's taught them, which is when they've been the most successful. They just can't seem to realize that one has something to with the other, so instead they whine about their ice time. Every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, I'm guaranteed to have a cranky husband. The team manager is going to get the therapy bill.

I never thought I'd say it, but yes, it might be a little too much hockey. He loves it (for the most part), and it's not the mortgage industry. He's happier, and that's alright with me.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My *own* opinion is that your activity load right now sounds high for ANY adult, not just you.

Yes. This.

Mostly lurking...

Ok. So, rethinking tomorrow. I had told the kids we were going to have a VDay party. I have some crafts for them to do, and I was going to have them decorate heart-shaped cupcakes and eat them. I was going to make the cupcakes and frosting from scratch, because we have a little girl with a SEVERE peanut/nut allergy, so I didn't want to get something from a bakery, risking that it's been near nuts.

So, do we think box cake mix and like Pillsbury frosting will be ok? I think that's still a better option than picking something up from a bakery, but easier than scratch. Or scratch the whole snack plan and just do the crafts.

My advice? Actively recruit two new players who are better than almost everybody else on the team and are both easygoing and cheerful.

Yes, it will.

Keep your focus tight and manageable. Scale down your ambitions a bit.

What are the chances that the kids will have had treats during the school day, vw? If it's likely they did, then just going for the crafts might be a good thing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

vw - Emeline's class has a severe nut allergy so snacks are typically** jello and juice.

This is what I take. The fruit in jell-o cups. You could do pudding, too!

vw, Teppy is very wise. I hope you feel better soon, and I'm glad your boss is giving you the time you need to rest.

If you feed Sass canned food

She doesn't -- she's been getting a low-residue kibble [link] prescribed by the vet. It looks like it comes in a canned version, so I'll try and pick some of that up tomorrow.
