I eat cows because they were mean to me when I was a kid.
I eat cows because my father, grandfather and two great-grandfathers would haunt me if I didn't. Also, I've spent a lot of time around cattle and a lot of time around vegetables. Vegetables are smarter.
I think vegetarianism is a great thing, as long as you're not one of those people who think it means living on cheese pizza.
About a year ago, driving down into work in Orange County, CA (very Republican area mind you), on one of the over passes was a very large graffiti "GO VEGAN". Somehow I do not think it was a local HS sports mascot. I wanted to try and snap a pic of it, but strangely enough, that graffiti was removed FAST.
Of course, even if I had snapped it, I wouldn't be able to share... stupid HD crash. It even got my pron!! Oh! The HUMANITY!

I hate hd crashes. Luckily (if you can call it that) I'll forget what was on there until much later so I don't feel as bad initially as I do each time I need something that was on the dead hard-drive. The only thing I mourned the last time was an ex-gf's phone number. I think in the back of my head I figured I'd hang on to it and later on who knows...
that is one item on of the lengthy list of "wrong things to be thinking about this week..."

I've been doing a lot of lalala everything is fine...until I bump into something I really wish I still had...which is about once per hour. Hopefully, the feeling will fade in time.

I got into an argument once with someone who insisted all humans should be made to be vegan, but she was a little unclear on how to organize the food drops to the Inuit out on the ice.

I've dealt with a few self-righteous vegans, but most of them have been about 16 years old, and I think that most 16-year-olds are like that about something. I've also dealt with a fair number of self-righteous omnivores -- again, mostly in high school, but also some older relatives. And a few random people -- like the woman serving food at the cafeteria at Tulane who told me "You ain't never gonna grow without no meat in your belly."
But yeah. Annoying people are annoying, no matter what they eat.

ION, just finished watching "Sicko" documentary. Even with the Michael Moore grain of salt... WOW! Boy do we need a national health plan. I didn't realize HMO's got started with Nixon. So what was it like before then??
