Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got into an argument once with someone who insisted all humans should be made to be vegan, but she was a little unclear on how to organize the food drops to the Inuit out on the ice.

snerk.

I've dealt with a few self-righteous vegans, but most of them have been about 16 years old, and I think that most 16-year-olds are like that about something. I've also dealt with a fair number of self-righteous omnivores -- again, mostly in high school, but also some older relatives. And a few random people -- like the woman serving food at the cafeteria at Tulane who told me "You ain't never gonna grow without no meat in your belly."

But yeah. Annoying people are annoying, no matter what they eat.

Is the grow up, or out? Cuz if it's out maybe Americans, in general, should consider it.

ION, just finished watching "Sicko" documentary. Even with the Michael Moore grain of salt... WOW! Boy do we need a national health plan. I didn't realize HMO's got started with Nixon. So what was it like before then??

I'm assuming up. I'm 4'10". And was about 19 years old at the time, so not much chance of any more growing.

I've been meaning to watch Sicko. Looks interesting.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Happy birthday, ladies!

So, in mememe news, I have lost a stone since the start of January. (...er, that means 14lb. Which may seem a random number to USAians, but it's what we count 'em in. For some reason.)

Go Team Me!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Happy Birthday Kristin! It's also Maria's birthday, according to Facebook, so Happy Birthday Maria, if you check in!

(Why am I up at 5:30 am, you might ask? Well, I just got out of the shower after being vomited on by a baby I was trying to nurse back to sleep. Just one of the many joys of parenting.)

not your mom's socks.

happy birthday Kristin!! happy birthday Maria!!

yay Fay!

back-to-sleep-ma & baby-tummy-ma Jessica!

it's 5:45 and I'm all out of exclamation points....

I'm up so I can catch a 7am train back to Philly, and be at work by 9:30. whee?

In ongoing-saga-meme news: this afternoon, a structural engineer has been retained (not by us) and will be checking out the stability of the house (that is supported on each side by other houses, which are in turn supported on each side by 5 other houses each... because it's a row house) so that it will be at no risk of falling over after 200 years of staying upright. good-outcome happy ending thoughts would not go astray.

sparky - I hope you & DH will get some cushioning from your new house...
