wow, slow day. Must be a Friday in a holiday week. Go figure.
Anyhow, it's still freakin' cold here in So Cal. 10º lower than average. I finally gave in and plugged in the heater. Bbbrrrrrrrrrr.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

random musings... Am I the only one who finds it amusing that to make "goddamn" non-obscene (i.e. suitable for broadcast TV) they cut out "god"? And am I the only one who is offended that TV stations bleep out "fuck" but broadcast the "n" word uncensored? Why are we not bleeping the (imo) most offensive word in the english language?
I was just going through some friend stuff on LJ, and I noticed the Warm a Bitch group, and went back to look through it. It was so fun reading about the making and getting of blankets, shawls, and the like. I like us best when we're having fun and taking care of each other.
I know that they say you can never go back, but is anyone interested in doing it again? Or something similar, perhaps?

I just had to call the cops on an apparently mentally ill homeless person who wouldn't leave the building. Now I'm sad.
Laga, if your community has resources to help this person, s/he may now be in a better position to get access to that kind of help.
That's true WindSparrow. Maybe he waited there until the cops came because he knew they would help him.
Happy New Thread!
Pretty thread! Just popping in to say I'm still here, happy birthdays and many vibes for people.
My computer is dead, again. We installed new RAM, yay, so fast! And then we had someone else install a new graphics card because mine wasn't rendering things as well as I might like. Then no monitor display. We opened it up and the new card wasn't seated properly. Reseated it; now we get the BIOS beeps of doom. So, either my motherboard is cracked, or the RAM is broken, or there's a compatibility issue with the new graphics card. We're hoping it's the latter because that's actually fixable, though the RAM would be fixable too with a bit more expense. It just can't be the motherboard or I will go sit in the corner and rock.
Brings some fluffy pillows for Deana, and keeps her company in the corner.
