Today = huge ball of suck for my boss.
The company that was supposed to deliver his excavator to ta job site for a press conference this morning failed to do so. Now, Boss could lose the $650k contract. He's fuh-reek-ing out. I'ma be over here, entering my invoices like a good girl.
I DO! Thanks!
Good Luck Askye, if you do as well.
Oh, Aimee. That is of the suck.
Good luck Perkins and askye!
So, I found out this morning that it helps to actually put the coffee grinds *in* the coffee maker if you want to make coffee, not hot water.
finally reinstalled Quicken. Damn. It appears in the HD crash of 2008 (yes, it's momentous, so give it heavy sounding name), it appears my quicken file of YEARS, like 10 years, corrupt. Gone. Bye bye. Uggg.
Learn from my mistake, please Please PLEASE make back ups!
Feeling o_a's pain. Every day brings a new case of "Oh, I have a great handout for you on that topic of great interest. Um. No.
Wait. That's all been gobbled up. Uh. Can I offer you a wan smile instead?"
Also, a bills paid document of at least 5 years. Gone. gone. gone.
Nothing life threatending, but oh, so inconvenient.
On the other hand, I'm cuddled up in my bed, with my trusty fur-sidekick, typing away on a laptop given to me by an angel...actually WORKING and avoiding being out in in the 20 degree weather.
Okay, I take back all my complaining. I win for comfort.
On the cranberry issue, Louise Gittelman recommends putting 4 oz of cranberry concentrate in 64 oz of water and drinking it all day. It really works for me when I remember to do it. I haven't had a UTI in ages. (touches wood)

Hard to make coffee before drinking coffee. It's inevitable.

It probably didn't help that I was on the phone with the accountant at my new job (who had woken me up...she felt so badly...I was like, "Hello! It's after 9am! I should be up!). So, it wasn't getting all of my focus, which apparently, it needed.
Totally unrelated...
How long do we think it will take for a coat of Crayola's kids washable paint to dry on papier mached puppets? I was going to paint a coat of white paint on them so they were ready for the kids to work on. But now I'm thinking that I'll just have them do it, play a game or two with them for a bit, then let them go do the decoration painting. Too much for 2.5 hours?
Hello Bitches!
I am currently posting from home. No I didn't get sent home from work- i'm on my lunch break. Normally my lunch will be from noon - 1pm but I'm taking the time that the person who is training me is taking. There's no breakroom at the new place but there are conference rooms people eat lunch in. There's a tv so sometimes people watch soaps (Depending on their break time) or star trek (Found trekkie there) or play Scrabble.
But I like it, it's laid back. I won't be able to leave my desk without coverage but I'll get a 10 min break in the morning and afternoon.
Sounds good, askye! I hope the new job continues to be good to you.
