I have no idea if last night's House was new or not

Yes, Emily, that was a new House, and yes, it was the most slashtastic thing I've ever seen in mainstream TV. Neither House nor Wilson was objecting to the idea of Wilson loving House, the argument was whether finding the female version of House was a good thing. Much delight. Cuddy's remark that Amber would leave "a Wilson chalk outline" was wonderful. Everyone's trying to save Wilson from Amber, but nobody thinks House is bad for Wilson.

Go get 'em, CaBil! I must have been bogarting a little ~ma without realizing it; I got word yesterday that my contract was being extended until the end of August. So, whatever ~ma has been lingering may feel free to go about its merry way and do good things.

I don't think my cats would let me touch their teeth. Well, Tucker might, he's really pretty mellow and will do anything to get petted. Elliot, on the other hand, is only just starting to accept belly rubs without attacking the hand that gives the rubs with front and back claws. Hell, I'm even afraid to try and trim his claws. I have a scratch pad for him that he uses quite faithfully, so at least I don't have to worry about the furniture.

ION, I am playing hooky, today. The weather gods have seen fit to smite Madison with 10 inches of snow and the place I commute to with 18 inches (predicted.) We have, I'd guess, between 4-6 inches here already and I'm not about to commute 65 miles in this shit.

I'm glad it wasn't just me! I haven't been watching this season, but I'm curious to see if they actually continue the Wilson/Amber thing (which really does seem like a weird combination) or drop it.

Man, I love Wilson, and usually when they focus on him he's doing something dumb. It was nice for that not to be the case... well, except that I think Cuddy's probably right. Oh well.

So, rather than lounging in bed waiting for all alarms to fire, I decided to try something. I'm restoring a good chunk of my iTunes library via SenutI. It's not everything, but it will be the better part of it. Thank goodness, the dozen albums that had been saved were not high in the rotation for "work is driving me mad I need to calm down" music.

well there was a little going away thing for me.

and now my files aren't working right. Ive been working on this spreadsheet to try and get done and everytime I think I have it saved and then I have to move to another computer so I save it to disc.

Only every time I open it up the updates are gone. so I'm starting this stupid thing again and it' snot leaving this computer until I'm done with it.

Oh and my replacement is out until Tuesday so they brought in another woman to man the phones so Ic an get stuff done and also kick back a little.

I need knitting help! Things have been going along really well on the baby sweater I'm working on but now I'm confuzzled. The instructions said:

Work across to marker, k4, bind off next 20 sts, k4, slip marker, workt tend. Continue working only on left side of neck. Work for 1" keeping pattern, ending at neck edge.

So far - so good but then it says:

Next row, Cast on 10 sts, knit 14 sts before marker, work to last 4 sts, k4.

There were two stitch markers - one on either side of the neck. When it said to slip marker - I took that to mean that I take the lefthand marker off. So I did. But now - do I knit across the neck to the other side of the neck?

And then:

Continue for 8 rows, keeping garter st at cuff and neck edges, then continue for 2 more inches, keeping only the first and last 4 sts in garter sts and all other sts in stockinette st, ending at sleeve edge.

Is this the thing were once I understand the part that starts with me casting on ten more stitches the last bit will come clear?

Good Morning {{{Bitches}}}. I felt like I was over my cold except for this nagging cough so this morning I tried some allergy medicine and now I can't stop sneezing. I guess I should have taken anti allergy medicine.

In other news: Why do I find this so jarring first thing in the morning? "... the new [things for work] have been ordered and is being shipped ..." didn't Outlook tell him when he composed the mail that his tenses did not agree?
