I was just nosing around the unemployment website (yes, so procrastinating that I'm actually doing useful things!). Sadly, all of the "workshops" they offer (which count towards my "three contacts to a job each week" thing) sound excruciating. Basic Word skills? How to put your resume online?? Oh, dear. I can't even imagine sitting there through most of them. But it may be preferable to applying for jobs I don't want...ay. We'll see. Tomorrow's plan: update resume.

I am giving up sweets for Lent. Also will be observing meatless Fridays. I don't know why, it just seemed like the thing to do.

Now, has my sister been fudging the truth, or can you actually eat/drink/do the things you gave up for Lent on Sundays?
