Glad you are home, Sox. Working less and sleeping more sounds like sound advice. And look at you, coming up with a good idea like Google Docs while you are just barely recovering.
Oh, cutie with the power tools! Nice.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I went to a different endocrinologist today, one who actually listened to me. He did a doppler on my thyroid, which showed that it was "irregularly textured" or something like that. Plus a whole ton of tests, and he actually believed me when I said I felt like crap, which was a huge improvement over the other one. He's doing a bunch of tests, and said that he thinks it sounds like hypothyroid, but he's also testing for diabetes and a few other things, just to make sure there's not something else going on.
That sounds like a huge improvement, Hil. Hope all those tests point to a treatment that makes you feel better. This has gone on plenty long enough.

Still feel like hell but starving. Tried to figure out what I could eat without getting death-like again.
Staggered over to store and found rice crackers and chicken broth. At the moment these are the two most wonderful foods in the world.
Staggered back home fretting -- if I stll feel this bad in the morning how the hell am I going to go into work?
My Boss, who was out the bulk of December when she threw her back out (though she came in one day a week... wtf? if you can't get up you can't get up, right?) has announced that she will be out most of January as well (seems its her anniversary. and her kids' birthdays. and if I'd just taken off the bulk of a month it would seem reasonable to readjust this plan but hey, I'm not the boss). She was in today. She'll be in tomorrow. We don't think she will be next week, etc. She's going to be mad as hell that one of the few days she's in the office I'm out sick nevermind TWO of them. Heck, last month I missed one of her days in the office by going to a funeral...
So now I'm fretting -- what if I can't get to work?
I get home and remote access my work email. At 3:47 she had forwarded me a document saying "Please print this immediately". Um...
She's nutso. That's just all there is to it. I need a new boss.

Oh yeah I've seen those. Better than the Harry Potter Vibrating Broom!
still not sleeping... just festering & hacking. DH has run to the CVS, but wanted to know if I'd posted that he offered to tie me up today (ie my lovely hospital gown). now we can tell him yes.
Laga & Bobbi - hilarious.
Has anyone seen the milk comments on amazon?

thanks everyone for the well wishes.
eta: Hil - so glad you got another opinion.
Poor Trudy. You shouldn't have to worry about your job when you are ill. Especially when said worry is that you are inconveniently sick on on of the few days bosslady deigns to come to work.
ESPECIALLY when she doesn't even notice that I'm gone!
She really is a trip.
Tomorrow I'll likely be somewhat but not all the way better. Its going to be a tough call.
{{{Trudy}}} Feel better. Your boss should be happy that you didn't go in and possibly expose her to a stomach flu.
