We're been friends since 2001. I made a huge deal out of his birthday last year. He's never ignored it before. There's no way he forgot. I opened my presents from my sister in front of him (at first because I thought they were from him). A few days ago a box came from Barnes and Noble that I was sure would be for me but it turned out to be for him. I'm worried that he's mad at me for something.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Mom said I should tell him but I'm asking you guys because I'm not sure. Maybe my slacker secret santa gift will arrive soon and make me feel all better.

Does your knowledge of British royalty extend to past coronations (as in 18th and 19th century)? Because if so, I have some research questions for you...
Home from Dad's. It was actually a nice evening. I took my framed diploma with me and it was given a place of honor at the table.
He had invited another family whose kids I used to hang out with when I was young. I've seen them a few times as adults, but it was fun spending an evening with that family.
I even got a great prezzie from my dad for graduating/birthday. 2 tickets to each of the 4 plays remaining in ACT's season! I'm excited.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised.
hooray for pleasant surprises!
I just popped a whole bunch of bubble wrap and now I feel kinda good.

Cheapest psychotherapy ever. I'm glad you're feeling better, Laga.
Oh, oh, oh - K-Bug and I may be taking a trip down to SD in the spring to check out SDSU.
Oh, yay! That would be awesome! I totally don't know any cool places (cuz I'm lame like that), but I bet Cass could make recommendations and I could find them!
What kind of recs are you looking for, Suzi? I can make a list! I am occasionally good at lists.
Yay pleasant time with your dad, Suzi!
I am contemplating a personal trainer. Not right now, but in a few months' time, maybe. Would you say it's a Good Thing, then?
Yes, definitely. Tends to be an EXPENSIVE thing, but (a) gets me to the gym and (b) gets me not slacking once at the gym and (c) has someone else suggesting things I'm not comfortable doing, and showing me how to do them, and telling me if I'm doing them right.
Without a trainer, I tell myself I"ll go to the gym and I don't. And even if I make it there, I end up doing the few things I"m comfy doing ("Oh, I'll just go on the treadmill a minute and then do some biceps") and then punk out ("Oh, ten minutes is enough on the treadmill....eight reps is enough with the bicep curls...").
When I was working out with a trainer, I not only looked good, I FELT good.
Not sure how ti is in Thailand, but here it's hella expensive, though.
Also, my apartment building is still here, so the "No fire" -ma seems to have worked. :) Thanks guys!
I went to dinner, and out dancing, and though it was sparsely attended and not filled with especially hot girls, I still had fun. And got cruised. And had one friend say "Aww, I'm getting a little crush on you!"
