'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Even the commercials are fabulous!

Correctly phrased, that's "only the commercials are fabulous."

Poor K-Bug. She needs ice cream and chocolate.

Mostly lurking...

Correctly phrased, that's only the commercials a fabulous.

Well, at least you didn't compare to Lifetime movies. That's what I was expecting.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

What is this dog fascination with pulling the polyester insides out of toys? The dog has pulled out so much fluff that it looks like he ate Santa Claus.

Oh you sweet naive human, so blissfully unwaware of the stuffed toy menace. Thank goodness you have a goggie looking out for you, eviscerting passionately as you sleep through the night, safe and confused.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Poor kid has had a rough week. She and bf broke up. Ok, no - actually he broke up with her the day before their 3 year anniversary. With all the "let's be friends stuff, I just need space" crap. She has actually handled it better than I would have expected, but my poor punkin.

Aw, poor K-bug. What a Stinkhead.

eta - For those here who met bf and who see K-Bug, she has asked not to be asked about him. We are in radio silence on that topic around her.

Noted. For when you come to my town!

Keeping my excitement on Low, outta respect for her loss.

but at least now she can go to college without ties...?

Yes, we have attractive Surfer Boys who are no doubt Very Comforting.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The open house is March 15th. She is still waffling about wanting to go to it. I'm in Boise from the 9th through the 14th, so I'd come home Friday night, drop one suitcase, pick up another, and the drive down.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Poor K-Bug. She needs ice cream and chocolate.

Maybe even together.

Edys/Dryers used to have a Goo Goo Cluster ice cream. Don't know if it still exists, but the not-eating-sugar thing keeps me from looking for it.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

So, here we are at the mini photo call, and still haven't had a sound cue.

When you post about this, omnis, I keep thinking about musical performances where there's one person there to play some weird instrument once at the end of a three hour concert.

ION, I hab a code. I'm actually feeling a bit better, but felt like total crap when I left work early today, so I didn't stop by the store to pick up things that I really need to get. And we have loads of snow on top of glare ice. I doan wanna go out!! But I have rent. Like Laga. Yeah, Laga!!!

Apparently China has a big storm, too.

Not javachik

It's just been extended and I hope to see it but I thought for certain that Hoch [Berkeley Rep] had some sort of link to Buffistadom. No? Yes?

I can hook you up with inside dope about ushering at the Berk Rep. The party line is here: [link] I've seen the Hoch play and it's very, very good. Short, also, which leaves lots of time to go out afterwards for coffee & dessert & chat & still get home before midnight.

I was worried about what to say when my grandmother passed away and, on the advice of many wonderful people here, told a story that showed her humor and people laughed. So many people came up to me later and told me their own fond remembrances after. It meant a lot to me.

I was the last speaker at my father's service and sobbed my way through it. It was a mistake, not that I could help it at the time. At my uncle's, my cousin told funny stories and we got great stories back. So i learned the hard way.

I'm examining the carton from the grape tomatoes to find out where they're from. (I know they're not from around here. It's January.) Grown in Mexico, by a company based in New Jersey.

Near Todo Santos (where the real Hotel California is), the tomato growers for the US market have so depleted the water table that the aquifer literally collapsed, creating "springs" in some places that can't be stopped. Those people simply have to move. The sad thing is, once that upwelling water's gone... no more nifty underground places to store pure water!

I wish I lived somewhere where local produce year-round was more practical.
coughcough: California! coughcough:

Wow, also a whole new unknown genus of geekdom.

A friend is getting into carnivorous plants and plant cloning. OMG, the geeks. Not to mention the plants are with giant buckets of goo hanging off their main stem. These: [link]

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks for the offer, Java Cat, but no need. I am part of the Petite Bourgeoisie these days - pay for my ticket and sit my ass down. :)

I am bummed about K Bug's breakup. Poor thing.
