Giles: I jump out of the circle, jump back in, and, and, shake my gourd. Buffy: Hey, I think I know this ritual. The ancient shamans were next called upon to do the Hokey-Pokey and to turn themselves around.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Fuck. I think that I'm going to have to play my least favorite game in the world: Find the Smell.

Our house has slowly begun to stink more and more over the past week. There's some horrid, cloying sweetness mixed in with good ol' foulness. Drat.

Compassionately intolerant

bonny - can you run the website on the back? or the tag?

Of COURSE. duh. That's what I did with my last card. Thanks for the reminder.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I made real food for dinner tonight! Red lentil and cauliflower curry with brown basmati rice. Mmm. And I think I'm going to make steamed veggies with vegan cheese sauce for lunch tomorrow. (I'm generally not a fan of vegan cheese, but this sauce is an exception -- it's tofu and carrots and nutritional yeast and miso and mustard and lemon juice and one or two other simple things like that, and when you combine them all, you get something that tastes exactly like Cheez Whiz.)

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Kristin, I HATE that game. Good luck!

So, today at the after school program the kids were drinking the really happy Koolaid. They were really hysterical. Towards the end, I was getting them to quiet down a bit, and they were coloring/drawing pictures. They all seemed to think that the pictures needed to go to my house and on my refrigerator. Well, I don't have that much room on my fridge, so I started a flickr set to collect pictures of all of my very special artwork. I have it locked to contacts, but if you're a contact, you should totally go check them out. They're hysterical.

My favorite story from the whole thing is this, though.

One of my preschoolers drew me a picture of a princess and her flying pony. Then she proceeded to draw me two more princess pictures. After that she asked what I wanted her to draw, so I said, "Draw me a Prince Charming."

"What's a Prince Charming, Miss Val?"

"Prince Charming is like a princess, only a boy."

"Oh. You can't have a Prince Charming. Only a princess."

Thanks. I hate that game, too. With the smell as bad as it is, though, I'm really getting concerned that I'm going to have to completely empty closets and dig under appliances. Plus, I have a sneaking suspicion that I may not find a single, obvious source. Ugh. So do not want.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm thinking Hil's place smells better than Kristin's. And vw's has the fun artwork.

cottage cheese:

Sorry Kristin, didn't mean to mock. I do feel your pain. Not my favorite job either.

Oh no worries. I laughed at the sad truth of your statement.

The worst part is that ND got home a few hours ago and, apparently, immediately got a migraine and had to go to bed. He thinks the smell triggered it. He's sleeping now, so I'm not sure if he's going to be able to help me play FtS. The only thing worse that playing FtS is playing it solo!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Feel-better vibes aimed directly at Aimee.

The mittens with the string? My kids had a set when they were babies. TM "idiot mittens" thanks to Bill Cosby. They worked really well, of course my kids couldn't put their arms down, so the string wasn't a choking hazard.

Just running by to say a quick Felicitations to Anne on the Anniversary of your Natal Day! All good things wished to you in the year ahead!

I've played that game all too often, Kristin. I pass on my turn this time.
