Baroo? Clearly, you need to come down here and shop, what with our 3 H&Ms and other Fun Stuff Not Located in Seattle.
I know! Well, we're (finally) getting H&M stores this spring. But we won't have a Baby the Stars Shine Bright store! And while I find most BtSSB designs far too twee and death-by-ruffles little girly, I just remembered they're the company that makes the Alice and the Pirates line. [link]
GAH!!!
I really can't chuck out my whole wardrobe in favor of a total Gothic Lolita look, can I.
Supposedly they're a strangulation hazard. How this works when the strings are INSIDE A JACKET I'm not sure, but apparently now you're supposed to get your own string and sew each mitten to the jacket individually. What. Ev.
I got little clippy bungie cords. Now I just have to get Mal to tolerate having mittens on.
Empress, have you ever had asthma?
I've not. I've had pneumonia before, though. Like, lots as a kid.
Now I just have to get Mal to tolerate having mittens on.
My method is to wait until we're outside to put them on. (I also recommend having a baby young enough that he can't argue with you or pull off his own mittens.)

Again, I am not the person to answer this question for you. But, if you do decide to dabble in that fashion, let me point you at Retroscope Fashions as a good place to start. Their prices are very, very reasonable. Reasonable enough that I have, um, a LOT of skirts from them. And some blouses.

HIE THEE TO A DOCTOR!
edit: when you can, of course, but as quickly as you can. You don't need people yelling at you, you're an intelligent being.
This edit brought to you by Knee Jerk Responses And the Women Who Practice Them.
Happy Birthday, Anne!!!
Jessica, I found one pair of mittens in your baby's size here:

Although they are "camo" print.
I have mittens with string attaching them! And the mittens are black w/ pink paw pads. I wear them with my fleece workout jacket.

Now matter how cold it is, he hates the mittens...hates them, my precious.
But I do too, so there's that. Maybe I can find baby armwarmers for him.
