Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We've decided to not go out in the snow, so instead of going to see Juno, we're going to re-watch Serenity.

Mostly lurking...

I have decided to stay in my pj's all day and watch the Law & Order marathon.

I have it on in the background as I'm getting ready for my trip. Craziness. I LOVE the ep that just ended. It's one of my favorites.

Oh, Hec! You'd like A too. Before I left she harassed me about getting my hair cut. She thinks it looks better short. She followed that up by pushing my bangs out of my face and saying, "Oh, look! Your face is clearing up."

Who needs a mom when you've got neighbors like this?!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy birthday, Susan!

Nora has inspired me to order some Chinese takeout. DH has to get dressed to go get it,but I can stay in my PJs, hooray!

Even though we haven't gotten dressed yet, we've been all productive: put up blinds in the bedroom, vacuumed, started some laundry, got the second phone handset to charge up and emptied one box. Good start to the year.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Even though we haven't gotten dressed yet, we've been all productive: put up blinds in the bedroom, vacuumed, started some laundry, got the second phone handset to charge up and emptied one box. Good start to the year.

I just vacuumed the bedroom (the only room where we left carpet, as it was much newer than the manky stuff we ripped out of the other rooms, and it's much MUCH cleaner, as the pets were banninated from the bedroom quite a while ago), and I've been reading about container gardening. Next I think I will throw in some laundry and then put together the cabinets I bought yesterday to stow my crap. And then I might do some research on bicycles, as I know nothing about what qualities a good bike should have for an overweight woman who intends to ride the bike for recreation and moderate exercise but not off-roading or major exercise or hill-riding.

Perhaps I'll eat some chili first.

The Boy is working on cleaning out his closet so that I can hang up my hang-up-ables, but it's a slow process, because he keeps trying things on to show me. (It's totally adorkable, and I love him for it.)

stay in my pj's all day and watch the Law & Order marathon.

I am avoiding the marathon like the plague. If I get into it, I'll never get out. It's like that drug spiral, it's an L&O Hole.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Bitches!!! Happy 2008!!!

How much do I love Teppy and The Boy together?

So so much.

I'm still in my pjs. Didn't get home till 3:30. Braved the snow and went to Racine for a dinner party and had a great time. It had stopped snowing by the time I went home and the roads were mostly clear.

It's snowing more now, but it's also blowing snow, so I'm not sure how much is new snow. My apt. is on the 5th floor and I have snow drifts on my window sills because of all the wind. It's kinda cool.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

vw, your neighbor is nosy but adorable. And the adorable wins out for me.

We're doing a Supernatural marathon over in that thread. I have jammies on, coffee and just ate some delicious breakfast. It's a good day.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Just got back from brunch with Hil. Torchwood Marathon via tape from Debet.

sighhhhhh

Oh! Got an earpiece for my phone for Christmas. I named it Capt. Jack Harkness since it's bluetooth and will connect with anything.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have taken down and put away Christmas decorations and tidied up the house. I am now at work trying to learn how to format a ginormous Excel chart, so I can mail it out and leave.

I am constatly refreshed by looking at my desktop, which is this picture: [link] I used to have it up on my wall in college. I got the complete Boz for Xmas and it made me wonder if the cover still looked like Teh Sexay to me. Yup.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

B&N gift card spent. I got a Regency romance by one of my author friends (Vanishing Viscountess by Diane Gaston) and two research books--Wellington in India by Jac Weller and Napoleon's Marshals by R.F. Delderfield. And in a few days I'll come home from work and find a box of goodies on my doorstep!

I'm such a geek.
