Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

Yay for raises and contracts and Buffista successes.

And thanks for the benediction Frank, that we should all be so lucky. That was lovely.

All is well that ends in pizza.

My "news" paled in comparison, so I didn't post right after P-C with it.

Got my labwork back from doctor.

Overall Cholesterol dropped to 119. LDL (bad) is 58, and HDL (Good) is 40.

My A1c is back under 7, coming in with a 6.9. W00t!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Nice to see all the good news today. Congrats to all!

Compassionately intolerant

I'm having an awkward moment...I think I know what to say, but I'd love some input.

My friend, who runs a prominent marketing agency, has been a huge help to me this past year in getting my new website designed. She is enormously supportive.

When I showed her the draft of the doggy lama pet coaching logo I created, she generously offered to send it to a west coach illustrator who owed her a favor to 'professionalize it'.

I accepted with much gratitude.

The resulting sketch was cute, but not what I had in mind and not particularly logo/web friendly.

My friend requested some changes, including 'less lotus, more pooch' and for the lines to be darker. This is the second version.

My dilemma is that I really, really don't like the direction the artist has taken, but I feel weird about being critical of something done out of the goodness of her heart.

I'm searching for the words to gracefully extricate myself from this transaction while still expressing gratitude for my friend's efforts and concern.

What would you do?
