Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

Reading a little further down in the entry, I've discovered that Triumph's middle name is Perseverance.

a) We had a succession of cats named Retribution (Retro), Penance (Penny), Extreme Unction, and Legion (OK, still have him). I still think Retribution would be a fun name.

b) I know a white American military couple who adopted a baby girl from China and named her Mercy. I thought it was a pretty name until the wife told me it was because "God took mercy on her and let her come live in a Christian home." Elitist santimonious twits.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Legion

Huh. And here I was thinking something more along the lines of "French Foreign".

"God took mercy on her and let her come live in a Christian home."

Eww, eww, eww. A hundred times eww. Also, now going to look askance at the name.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think Legion is the best cat name ever. ("My name is Legion, for we are many.")

I met a guy named "Sir" once. When we first saw his name on the roster, we puzzled over whether there was a random British knight attending or something, but it turned out his parents were just weird.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

DH's co has done a lot to improve CS. now, they are specialized - and it helps that their customers are the police /fire etc. But they centralized the CS, hire some programmers in the CS dept that could do some fixing, trained others to do more advanced work, and have defined a Priority 1, P2, etc. and they have incentive programs when the list gets too long. The really big problem with the system, is that customers can set the priority of a call.

But the more interesting thing is why this happened. Of course, they depend on upgrades and repeat business. But more importantly, police talk. So if County police A grumbles about your stuff, county Police B looks much more critically at your stuff then they would have normally.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Or, as well-traveled as Raq's cat is, "Foreign Legion".

Friends had two girls, Elisabeth Grace and Katherine Faith. They adopted a little girl from China, and while they kept her first name, they added Abigail Hope. It's a nice little family theme. They're not particularly Christian. And one reason they went with attribute names is that he can't stand names "you can pick," like Fern, Rose, Petunia.

my body has betrayed me. At least another night in the brig. Apparently my belly is still slightly disdended (sp?) But I have reclaimed my crutches, so I can visit the loo on my own. Oh ya, and they took that horrid tube out of the nose, so I'm ok.

The status is NOT quo.

till in hospital. Now labeled as "partially blocked". There is talk of discharge, but since belly sounds like a bass drum, there is a call into the doc if I should go home.
Shit! How did I miss that you were in the hospital?!? What can we do for you?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I am distantly related by marriage to a white american couple who named their chinese baby girl Cinnamon "because of her nice brown color"

Hand to God.

They call her Ce Ce.
