Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This one aunt had a house with a guest bathroom...first time in I couldn't find the toilet. It had a closet big enough to fit a bed in--I slept in the guest bedroom's bathroom's bed more than once. There was enough room for two people to wash their hands while another person was on the toilet, someone was in the shower and a couple people in the tub comfortably.

Oh, and someone in bed.

She finally divorced her husband but neither of them would move out because they both wanted the house so bad.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I would get lost in a house like that.

Friends of the SO & I used to own a house, lovely Craftsman thing, tree-lined streets across from a sparkling river, that sort of thing. It had an upstairs suite that really was a suite. Giant bathroom, really luxurious. But the kicker was the toilet, which was open to the room, separated only by a half-wall of glass block. It was raised on a bit of dais, and had mirrors. When they said throne, they really meant throne.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My bathroom is maybe 5'x6'. Maybe. If I lean forward on the toilet, I hit my head on the corner of the sink. And it's better than it was before we gutted it and redid it, because the POs had a 3' wide, 2' deep vanity in there.

One of the many reasons I want to escape this house.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Fun at work:

Today was the last day to register to vote if you wanted to vote in the primary.

drunk guy. no car ( thank the good forces in the universe). speaking very loudly. (of course) . Wants to register to vote. I give him the form. and tell him there is a phone number he can call if he has questions. He fills out the form. Incorrectly. I know this because he wants me to tell him what to do with form. I am polite. You need to mail it today. I walked. ( so? ) Do I give this to you? no, I work for the library , not the registrar of voters. But I am supposed to be able to do this today. Yes, but the library only gives you the form. does someone else here know what they are doing ( snap) .sir, you can not register to vote at the library here. Have a new form to fill out correctly, then you can mail it. The I walked to the back room ( some people really are too stupid to vote) . When the drunk asked J if we could mail it - J said, I'm sorry , we are not the post office, you have to find a mailbox.

This is the first person in the not quite year I've been at the library that has made me actually mad.

The status is NOT quo.

ChiKat, I feel your pain. I haven't really been home yet (well, only for about five minutes so far). We're at the emergency vet because the nasty sore on Byron's nose got worse and spread to his lip. Doctor says it may be a simple infection or it may be cancer. I can't handle thinking about that now. I just can't. Byron is my baby. I'm hoping antibiotics will make this all better, but we won't know for days.

I hope your birthday was the best yet, Andi!!! And thank you! I just got the most beautiful red scarf that you made and a cool bonus of skin goop. Where did you find that color of red, it's gorgeous!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so lucky!!!!!!1!!

I'm getting my hair cut tonight! Woot!

I can't wait to see, Aimee. I'll join you as a newly shorn one tomorrow. Right now, my hair is so shaggy I can hardly stand it.

Woe! I want that drug.

Me too! I wish I could remember what it was. I looked up the one discussed here on MedlinePlus, and was a bit freaked out by what they have to say about it. One the one hand, being informed is good; on the other hand, sometimes I think it's better not to know.

Speaking of migraine meds, they've been working on switching me, because they think that the one I've been taking that has been working wonderfully well may be giving me asthma. My doctor and I have been thinking that the last one I tried may be making me tired, unable to sleep, woozy, and a host of other side effects. Wish me luck with the new test!

With all the job changes going on here, I can hardly keep up, but continued job ~ma to askye and finding out and patience ~ma to Suzi, and congrats and ~ma to anyone I've missed.

Good luck, libkitty! Is it a preventive, or an abortive? What have you tried? I'm all curious--in case this current higher dose of BP meds doesn't stop the breakthrough migraines, I have to try something else, next. (Fingers are still crossed that the higher dose will work).

It's preventive. I've been taking Inderal, which stopped perhaps 80-90% of the migraines and made the remaining ones more bearable. I don't remember the names of the new ones, but they're calcium channel blockers. Apparently beta blockers can cause asthma. Who knew.

Good luck on the new dose, meara. Migraines are of teh suck. At least mine appear to be genetic and will likely go away when I hit menopause. I'll be a bitch with hot flashes and mood swing and who knows what all else, but if the migraines go away, then I'm kind of looking forward to it.

Oh, Kristin... I'm so sorry to hear about Byron. I hope it's nothing and he feels better soon.
