Happy Birthday, Windsparrow!

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Laura, I didn't find that stalkerish. And Suzi, I imagine that any teacher would like to know that they made a difference; from what I hear, so many of them often feel like they're working at something that's necessary but aren't appreciated.
In a related story, years ago I read in the news about a man who'd made his career in the fire department (New York, if I remember correctly) and got an invitation to a high school graduation. Turned out that when the graduating student was a baby, he'd saved her life and she wanted him to know that not only had he saved her, but that she was making something of that life. It struck me as a nice story.
It's WindSparrow's birthday? Happy WindSparrow Day!
Happy birthday, Andi!
When you've got a moment, I fully expect a report on whatever adorkably cool birthday thing Daniel is even now plotting on your behalf (or has possibly already carried out).
::taps foot, checks watch::
If there had been other out-of and post-school contact, I guess it's not so odd. I still twinge a little when people from the past suddenly say, "Hi, I remembered you and spent a fair amount of effort to find out where you are now!" Your willingness to be pleased when people suddenly appear from out of your past may vary.

Happy Birthday to Andi! I hope it has been a lovely day.
Happy Birthday Andi!
Go, askye! That’s wonerful news!
Resignation letters by Buffistas--it should be a book!
When Brendon was in kindergarten it was her first year teaching. He was the only child that read fluently so he read stories to the other children and was her pretend assistant since he could read instructions. She even taught him multiplication. She is no longer teaching and has married and had 3 children, but just couldn't get Brendon off her mind and searched for me. Most brilliant child she ever encountered, etc.
Awwww…That’s so sweet! I love it when people do little things like that that make our days.
Would that be considered stalkerish?
I don’t think so. I’d love to do the same with a couple of my high school teachers, but since I can’t remember one of their names, I’ve probably got an up-hill battle!
He sat in an honored place at the installation with the other "influences." It was cool. And not stalkerish.
Oh, that is wicked cool.
Anyone seen erinaceous around? Apparently she's giving a seminar at a conference I'm going to in March.
Also very cool. I’ve seen her on LJ recently (like while I was in St. Thomas recently). I’ve got her e-mail if you’d like.
It’s WindSparrow’s birthday? YAY! Happy Birthday, Andi!
