I'm glad youse guys are safe in Florida. And a little befuddled by your lack of celebratory gumption. I'm thinking of where might be open to get me a bottle of champagne on the way home. Or there is the gay bar. The suggestion came after I revealed that my midnight kiss would be bewteen me and my doggie. So not only are they encouraging me to go to a bar by myself, they want me to kiss some stranger. Clearly I haven't made up my mind yet.
Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
laga, you could come down to long beach and join some theatre folk in celebrations. Dunno how wild it will be, but you are welcome to join.

Kiss a stranger, Laga!
We are lame. At least there are a number of people out front in the park setting off fireworks. I wander out during commercial breaks. If I went out the dog would be very unhappy. She is snuggled next to Brendon for protection.
At this rate it looks like I will be home at midnight. It's a lovely night so I'll wander outside and watch the fireworks later. We're watching Planet of the Apes.
We're watching Planet of the Apes.
That's kind of reassuring. As we look toward the future year and the years to come, we can comfort ourselves thinking, "Yeah, the future's going to hell, but at least the Apes will be the ones who'll have to deal with it."
And a little befuddled by your lack of celebratory gumption. We have to be up just after 6:30 Eastern time in order to be ready to meet J&P, so we need to be asleep early.
Yeah, everyone please send fall asleep easy! vibes my way around midnight PST, please! Because I must must must sleep on the plane.
have to be up just after 6:30
Ahh now it all makes sense.
Thanks for the invite o_a but wherever I end up I plan to do some drinking so It'll either be my house or walking distance from my house.
Vibes for sleepin', Jilli! I'm about to go to sleep, too. Night!
We're also watching the Planet of the Ape marathon.
And less cool haunting story of the bad boy with blue lips. Freaky.
Eep! And this!
The creepiest part of this story is that my friend, Jules was talking to her friend OUTSIDE in the yard while her daughter was playing INSIDE. They were discussing this little boy and how they thought he might not be an imaginary friend and how strange they found the whole situation. When they came back into the house, the 3 year old, who had been nowhere near them when they had the conversation came into the room and INSISTED that he "was too an imaginary friend!" The little girl keeps telling her mother that the little boy tells her to do "bad things." Which could be her way of dealing with learning right and wrong or it could be a creeptastic, angry little ghost.
Our friends left early, so we're ringing in the new year quietly, probably by watching Buffy. TCG is finishing up the clean up, and I'm quite tipsy on margaritas. It's a good NYE.
