That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Fay, I admire you and wish you luck with your healthy-weight-seeking and all, but I have to say I've always considered you voluptuous and gorgeous, so... well, I'm sure you'll still be lush and lovely at your desired weight. So go you!

Isn't it meant to be heretical and bizarre to put cream in tea? I think I've heard mocking of the idea before. Me, I tend to reach for whatever liquid dairy-based substance is nearby*, but I do remember the mocking. From Brits, I'm sure.

(* okay, no, I wouldn't put kaffir in tea.)

Our wings are not tired.

I think the reason I prefer cream or milk in tea is that when I was a child my mom would put a bit of tea in our milk. I'll drink it either way, but for comfort I'll add the dairy.

Cream in tea is basically an abomination, yes. Says the girl from the country where they drink more tea per capita than any other nation, so I should know.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Cream in tea is basically an abomination, yes.

I basically agree, but I make an exception in Thai restaurants.

Don't they use condensed milk, though? Which is even more thick and, well, creamy than cream, but I thought I'd ask.

Our wings are not tired.

My Irish mother doesn't put cream in her tea, but she is to blame for me liking it because of the early splash of tea in my milk.

Mmmm tea. I think I shall have some when I get to the office. (there is no cream there so black this time)

I can't believe I am still home. My schedule was off this morning. I skipped my usual work systems checks that I normally do at 6:30 or so because I was tired. When I got home from my first school run I had messages that I should have done the checks. Ooops. There was a bunch of problems everywhere. I didn't get things all fixed up until it was time to go on my next school run so I missed my window of opportunity for a shower. Then I had to recheck when I got home, and visit here. Now I really need to get showered and get to the office.

Thrive to spite them

My plan for the day was run and drop off the application at lunch. And then I realized that in a bid to make today easier I wore the same shirt and pants I did yesterday.

I don't want to run in wearing the same shirt (I had a jacket on but it's an unusual shade of blue and kind of memorable). So now I'm running home, throwing on a sweater, and delivering the application. Which may make me kind of a freak to do that, but I really want to make a good impression.

Also I need to get my hair cut, but the place I go doesn't have any openings and I'm worried about trying some place different, so no hair cut.

Did I mention I'll be meeting the director of the organization at this 2nd interview?

I will not panic I will not panic.

I like a little milk in my tea, but I don't drink tea that often.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I like milk and sugar in my tea in the afternoon, black in the mornings.

I recently had a cup of black coffee at home because we were out of cream, and OMGSOGOOD! I can't drink the office coffee black because it tastes like crap, but I should remember that I like my good coffee unadulterated.

Art Crawl!!!

So tired.

But Congratulations DJ and Matt on the excellent new jobs!!!

And after complaining to Amazon, they "discovered" that wow - they do have enough Torchwood season 1s in stock to mail my copy this week. (They sent this weasily explanation about how shipping dates are based on an estimate of how many things they will have in inventory - to which I say: WHATEVER Amazon - my pre-order helps you determine what you should have in inventory and you should therefore be able to PREDICT that you can get it to me the week it comes out.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I like my coffee like I like my women: in a plastic cup.

With a spoon in them.
