Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

And to clarify, I don't think flunking it automatically makes you a moron. But I suspect that is the rationale for including it. I was hypothesizing a mindset for asking the question rather than suggesting the mindset is necessarily right. Except in the case of our President, where it really was an example of idiocy.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I need plastic for dog walking.

Yeah, I reuse any plastic bags I can get my hands on. I also use the larger ones for trash bags. But I admit that if they banned the plastic ones it might be the push I need to commit to switching over to the biodegradable dog bags as I've been meaning to do but never quite managing.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

That's the first question I hate - because the best answers are canned answers from a book.

my next favorite ( ha) question is " where do you see yourself in 5 years". I hate questions that I can't really answer. the real answer is that it depends. Any other answer is fake.

There's a local documentary on about Herren's, a now defunct restaurant downtown, and now I'm craving cinnamon rolls. At Herren's, you got a basket of bread with their signature small cinnamon rolls.

so I couldn't figure out why it was so cold in my apartment. I stepped out on the balcony to see if it was windy and discovered it's cold in my apartment because it is EFFING COLD outside. It's like 10 degrees!! and it feels really wet. I was going to walk to the bar to meet my friends for the Packers game, but I'm going to drive.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

where do you see yourself in 5 years

The Draconian Dictator principal actually asked me that at my evaluation last year. He then went on to tell me that I didn't want to be at the school. He commented that I "seemed to get sick a lot" and that he felt I got sick because I didn't want to be at the school or teaching.

While it is true that I get bronchitis at least once a year, it has been the case for over 20 years! I have allergies and asthma. It is also true that I have missed less that 5 days of work because of illness in the 9 years I've been at this school.

On a hammock in the keys drinking wine and reading thick novels? Perhaps I'd get points for honesty.

I had a boss when I was 19 that said allergies were always psychosomatic and asked what my real problem was. I quit and walked out on the spot. Only regretted that for about 30 minutes. Jerk.

I'm watching Children of the Corn. I never saw it before. Nifty fun.

I'll save that for this year.

I almost told him, "doing your job." I stopped myself. Selling my soul to be an administrator in my district isn't something I see happening. Too many people around here ruined by the job of school administration.

I had a boss when I was 19 that said allergies were always psychosomatic and asked what my real problem was.

Sounds like one of my college professors. She also said that migraine headaches and PMS were in the same category.
