Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

LAX sucks troll balls.

If we charged admission it might raise enough $$ to pay for production costs for my one act and spring show with enough left over for a sizable donation to BCEFA.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Chili is made and in the crock pot. I even managed to get it from the Le Creuset pot to the crock pot without TCG and without getting chili everywhere.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I am having back pains and bad cramps.

Maybe my IUD is trying to escape.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Mmmm, chili. Maybe I'll make chili for dinner before we go make merry.

sj, how do you make yours? I use about a pound of ground beef (or, now that I live with a vegetarian, I use Smart Ground faux beef), 2 cans of Brooks (or other brand) chili beans, 1 can red kidney beans, 2 cans crushed tomatoes, and a hell of a lot of spices.

I let people throw in chopped onion, peppers, hot sauce, etc., to taste, but I don't cook them IN the chili.

I tend to make it differently each time. Today I cooked 1 1/2 large onions then added 2 pounds of ground beef, which I cooked until brown. Then Added 4 tbs chili powder, some salt and pepper, a tsp or so each of cumin, dried oregano, and paprika. Added a few dashes of cinnamon. Two 8 oz cans of tomato sauce, one can of diced tomatoes, 2 cans of black beans, and one can of red beans. I think that was it. Then I just cooked it up until it looked done-ish.

mmmmmmmmm...chili

I must ask Mom how she makes hers. It was always amazing, as was her homemade stew.

move out and draw fire

Oh, cool haunting photos, Aimee!

And less cool haunting story of the bad boy with blue lips. Freaky.

When I was in third grade we moved into a new house (new to us; built in 1865). My bedroom was the back corner. I started having these dreams that my room was on fire almost as soon as we moved in. I remember telling my parents about them one morning at breakfast and them exchanging A Look. Turns out that part of the house had burned down and been rebuilt.

They were more freaked out than I was. I remember being like, "Oh, okay, that explains it. Already happened, don't need to panic."

This reads like you spent your morning in a disaster movie. Is it the Killer Frost?

I did! (I saw the missing SUV roof on my way home.) It was not the Killer Frost, more the Thin Blue Ice.
