Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I don't understand "reply all" being a default choice. I almost never reply to all.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Honestly - I don't see how someone reply-alling without double and triple checking the cc list is ever anyone else's fault but theirs. Sure, it happens, but it's hardly such a new phenomenom that adult people should get a pass on it.

Yes, this. Reply All is not anyone else's fault!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Beans, toast, tomatoes, and some sort of potato thing makes my perfect breakfast.

I tested my first breakfast potatoes recipe this weekend, and I'm thinking I need to expand that breakfast to include some of this stuff (and, well, meat).

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Well, in fairness to my boss, "dressing down" is an exaggeration. I think from her perspective it was more like "explain why this caused a problem and offer suggestions to prevent it from being an issue in the future." It's just my own big giant Issues that made me go into simmering fury over it.

I just don't want to be doing this kind of work anymore, I really don't. And until my new boss got here, this job WASN'T this kind of work, at least not so much. I was the only organized person around, so I felt like I had power in all my organizing and paper pushing. Now, well--I feel like my boss's assistant, even though my cards still say "Operations Manager."

Stephanie, do you know the name of the beach we went to on Sunday?

Stephanie - Jan 14, 2008 7:30:11 am PST #2277 of 10001
Trust my rage

Well, it's called something del Opisbo and translates to "Bishop's Crook" (like a shephard's crook - the hook thing they use to get the sheep back). I can't remember what the word for "crook" is in Spanish.

Ok...based on this picture I found online [link] I think it must be Poza del Obispo Beach in Arecibo. Does that sound right?

Yep, that's the beach! I'm glad to know the word - I won't forget it now.

Oh, wow! Look at this picture of the beach... [link] I got a video of a much smaller crash like that. But, so gorgeous!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Dear lord. People (meaning clients, not y'all), if someone doesn't answer the phone when you call, it doesn't mean they aren't at work. It means they couldn't answer the phone. It's helpful if you, instead of calling back every five minutes, actually leave them a message so they can return your call.
