My first concert was Bon Jovi, on the Crossroads world tour. Oh yes.
'The Killer In Me'
Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I don't think of Shaun Cassidy as a rock star, but as a Hardy Boy.
Me too. I had a serious crush on Parker Stevenson at the time. Of course, I'm not sure *how* serious it was considering I also had crushes on Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica) and Anthony Andrews (Danger UXB, which was playing on Masterpiece Theater).
Yes, I was young, and they were my linoleum. And yes, Sunday night was the best night on television.
Burrell is me w/r/t the better Hardy Boy, forget-Starbuck-I-like-the-dark-haired-one, and the blonde exception that proved the rule for Danger UXB.
In fact, I just made a UXB joke (calling the puppy "Danger UXP" when we take her out of the crate in the a.m. and she's got to go outside) which my DH didn't get at all. I was so disappointed.
A fun review of DisneyWorld, especially for those Buffistas who were recently there. (I love how his opinion on the Haunted Mansion are the same as Jilli's!)
Anthony Andrews (Danger UXB, which was playing on Masterpiece Theater).
OMG YES!
I also preferred Parker Stevenson over Shaun Cassidy.
Sparky! lisa! My peeps!
my first concert was Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
before I had any choices in the matter, my first concert was the Kingston Trio, with Peter Paul and Mary
It's possible I'm the only one here who is green with envy. I saw the post-John Stewart Trio once and got the first album signed by Bob Shane and Nick Reynolds. The Kingston Trio that is touring now for the "50th anniversary" doesn't have any original members.
I didn't see any concerts in high school, unless you count the local "Little B and the Insects." Small south Georgia towns are notably free of music venues. Once I got to college in Nashville, I started seeing all the live music I could, but I can't remember which was the first concert. Joan Baez? The Grateful Dead?
My first stadium concert was either Diana Ross or Smokey Robinson, don't remember which was first. Diana Ross had her daughters open with her and they were wee and talented and cute. I've always kept my eye on Tracee Ellis Ross for this reason.
Huh. I've only ever known one person from Temple -- Hall and Oates, with their meet-cute-in-the-service-elevator-ducking-from-gunfire tale, are doing very nicely at keeping my personal ratio of Temple alums who are made of awesome at 100%.
I would agree, since boyfriend went there for undergrad. :)
(I love how his opinion on the Haunted Mansion are the same as Jilli's!)
He can't have it! It's MY destiny to live in the Haunted Mansion, dammit.
