[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I wish my mom were still around for phone calls and e-mails. We used to talk at least once or twice a week and we e-mailed in between. She died quite suddenly in June of 2001. I still miss picking up the phone. I'm 53.
My mom was cool with phone calls. When I lived out of state, we took turns calling each other every weekend. Once I moved back to Madison, we saw each other at least once a week so we really didn't call that often. It was my dad who drove me bugfuck. When I was stationed in Spain, he wanted me to call every week. Uh, don't think so Dad, not at $35 and a two hour wait for a five minute call.
Bobbi, I still miss calling and emailing my mom and she died in 1997.
I won 5 bucks!
I guess I'm the flip side of just about everyone. Mom lives with me and I still talk with her on the phone at least once a day from work. When she didn't live with us, we still talked frequently.
My father - I probably talk with him once a month. I talked with him today, so I'm good until next month - right?
I usually talk with my mom 1-3 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Sometimes that's way too much, sometimes not enough. My mom and I have an interesting relationship.
Marie Callendar's gets nice and flaky in the microwave, shockingly. That makes me very happy. I had one Saturday night, and had to go buy more tonight.
These are so good! They have them at Costco. Yeah! nom, nom, nom.
yay. Finally home. Looong day. Of course, I woke up late. Hit every red light to get to work. It didn't go bad, mind you. Just long. And with the late start, meant no breakfast... and no time for lunch. So all I ate all day was a couple packets of Pop Tarts. I got out at 8, and made a dash to fast food. Ugg. There was no way I was going to make it home and cook. O well. At least everything at work went fairly smooth.
I'm gonna go play bingo. Are you old enough for that? Don't they card at the door???
Ok. I promise I'll quit being picture girl sometime, but this one was too good to not share...tonight's sunset: [link].Don't you dare! Especially with pics like that! It's not like I'm gonna make it down there anytime soon.

Susan, what size do you wear, and what sort of work shoes are you looking for? I mean, yes, go out and buy some shoes that don't leak RIGHT NOW, for goodness sake. But I can also ask around with some of the other people I know and see who has what stashed away in their swap boxes.
Mostly size 10, occasionally 10 1/2 or 11, and since I have sort of quirky, hard-to-fit feet, I'm looking for something pretty basic that will look good with everything from business casual pants to jeans. These are the shoes that turned leaky on me: [link]
I still like how they look and fit; I just can't wear them if there's the least chance of rain. Which means I can pull them out again in July.
And these are the ones I bought tonight, in brown: [link]
It makes me a little nervous that they're the same brand that leaked, but the construction is different, and I figure the leak thing was probably a fluke. And of the ten pairs or so I tried on tonight, they're the ones that felt best.
