Yes!
Also, I have A Plan wrt eating pattern - I've brought in instant miso soup, and intend to have porridge with low fat yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast every day, then have salad from the school salad bar and a bowl of miso soup for lunch, and then eat something sensible for dinner every day - and have a bowl of soup first at dinner time too, to fill me up. And I'm planning to try to minimise wheat, added sugar or fat and processed foods. And try to make sure I walk to work every morning, and get my ass to the gym at least 3 times a week (and ideally most days) even if it's only for a little while.

Regular and adequate sleep, and lots of water. Sleep is a missing ingredient for me. Exercise too, and that may be related.
Oh, lots of water is a given - I'm a big fan of hydration. But sleep is a good point - now that my bodyclock seems to be back on Bangkok time I'm going to aim to get my ass to bed between 9pm and 10pm, so that I can get up between 5 and 6am.
Really, what I found on the last occasion when I did actually knuckle down and make successful lifestyle changes was that for me, routine is very important. I need to get back into the pattern of
not sitting down
when I get home - but instead getting changed and going
straight to the gym.
And I need to make it easy for me to eat healthy and filling food at sensible times, rather than end up eating crap because it's the most convenient thing to do.
I feel tentatively optimistic about this. I don't think I'm in quite the right headspace - I'm not Super Motivation Girl - but I am pretty sick of feeling tired and achey and cumbersome. I'd really like to feel energized and flexible and, you know, not old and creaky.
Oh, Trudy, that's totally karma.
Ok. I promise I'll quit being picture girl sometime, but this one was too good to not share...tonight's sunset: [link]
Don't you dare stop the pictures! The only way you are allowed to have big vacation fun is if you share with the working masses.
I think that's my favorite picture so far.
Wow, vw, that is beautiful!
I'm with Laura, don't stop the pictures. I'm enjoying them.
