Oh, lots of water is a given - I'm a big fan of hydration. But sleep is a good point - now that my bodyclock seems to be back on Bangkok time I'm going to aim to get my ass to bed between 9pm and 10pm, so that I can get up between 5 and 6am.
Really, what I found on the last occasion when I did actually knuckle down and make successful lifestyle changes was that for me, routine is very important. I need to get back into the pattern of not sitting down when I get home - but instead getting changed and going straight to the gym. And I need to make it easy for me to eat healthy and filling food at sensible times, rather than end up eating crap because it's the most convenient thing to do.
I feel tentatively optimistic about this. I don't think I'm in quite the right headspace - I'm not Super Motivation Girl - but I am pretty sick of feeling tired and achey and cumbersome. I'd really like to feel energized and flexible and, you know, not old and creaky.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange
My mother believes that mothers and daughters should talk daily. I think more like....whenever something newsworthy happens. We have reached a compromise: she pays for my cell phone service, and i answer or call back whenever she calls. We seem to average once a week, but the last week has been insane with moving plans. Something like 19 calls on Saturday alone (largely because i was driving and kept hanging up on her whenever it started snowing, or raining, or traffic picked up.)

Am I allowed to cry because I finally got my shoes from Zappos (after waiting a week because of FedEx issues) and they don't fit? When I was hoping that I'd FINALLY have work shoes that don't leak badly every time I walk more than a few feet in the rain?
I mean, that's not the only reason I want to cry. It's been a nibbled to death by ducks day. But it's what's got me to the breaking point.

I call my mother daily. If I don't, she won't call me, unless it's important, but she'll tell me she was worried when I do call her. I don't mind it like I used to. She doesn't bug me about eating and sleeping right, etc since I moved in with TCG, so the talks are mostly pleasant.
