Goodbye and Good Riddance 2007: Heaven's Just a Funky Moose

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2007? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

Um... I'll be visiting in August? But you can totally send it to my in-laws' place in Boston if it's easier?

Jars! I feel bad about the prospect of you waiting Xmas + 8 months...but I cooouuuullllddd add to it substantially in a case like that.

Fling me your in-laws info and I'll be sure they get it long before you arrive.

If your visit should include any southward sliding down the coast, I'd be happy to tour-guide you through the cradle of democraxy.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'd be fine with a sekrit message that lets me know it wasn't lost in the mail.

This. I haven't heard anything to this point.

Aw, thanks! But I think the furthest we're going is Cape Cod. I'm also trying to convince DH that we should go via Reykjavik.

I'll email you the in-laws addy presently. Yay presents!

I used to spend every summer on the Cape. Just love it.

Raykjavik could be fun. I wonder if they are still doing that 'free overnight' promotion.

Free overnights you say? Hm. Yeah, we're totally going to Reykjavik.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, if you fly Icelandic you connect through Reyjkavik, and they'll let you extend the connection by a couple or three days to give you some time to play there at no charge.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Except for the hotel and meals charges, which ain't cheap.

Totally worth it though, if you can afford it.

Swouncing

Secret Santa players: if your gift wasn't sent or received yet, you should have an e-mail from me (and if you don't, could you please ping me at my profile address? I'd hate to think I missed someone and spoil the game for them).

There are five people who are still giftless. Some, as I could see from posts above, have that being taken care of. Some are at different stages of that, but I'm sure nobody will remain giftless - worst case scenario, they will give a "bigger" meaning to the word "slacker".

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I'm assuming something happened with my Santa as well—I never received a package or word of what went awry.

I had a moment of terror that I had, perhaps, completely forgotten to send mine... then I realized that you were my gifter, not my giftee. Sometimes I get confused like that.

libkitty is the best stand-in Sekrit Santa a girl could hope for! There's a pair of beautiful pomegranate seed earrings (OMG, love!), Alaskan tea, a very fun and fuzzy pink princess-y mirror, and a few other things lovingly placed in the box of goodies that made me think, "My cup, she doth overfloweth."

Thank you so much! It's a wonderful April-mas present.
