Goodbye and Good Riddance 2007: Heaven's Just a Funky Moose

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2007? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Man, it's so lovely reading about everyone's Seekrit Santa glee! I want to hug the lot of you!

eta (What with being in Another Country Altogether, I'll not be seeing my own Seekrit Santa stuff until I'm back in Bangkok in January, incidentally - sorry, Santa! Bad Fay! No gift glee! [yet])

I don't think my giftee will have received a package yet, and I live very very far away from everyone so probably won't get mine for a while. So I guess I'll do a year review...

I started the year off unemployed, but that's not unusual for an archaeologist. DH and I then both got jobs in Northern Ireland, which seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately for me, I kind of hated it there and got into that horible kind of sadness where you're crying four or five times a week for no reason at all. However, that job led to me, in August, getting the job I have now, in Cork. Which I love, and is everything I've ever wanted to do. And though it took some time, DH now has a job that he loves, even if it keeps him away from home a lot. We also had our first anniversary this year, so I guess the whole marriage thing is working out. Y'know, for now.

To sum up, some good, some bad, but ending on a high note.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Thanks, Santa Aurelia!

You're welcome! I was trying for a Very Erika Christmas mix. I hope it's all stuff you'll enjoy.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I went to the complex office and picked up my gift! I got Doctor Who magnets! They are made of win! One of them is the sign on the TARDIS, and the other is something in Gallifreyian (or whatever you'd call the writing system). I should check and see if it's the pocketwatch label. In any case, they are teh awesome!

Erika, I'm entering the wrapsack info and the bag needs a name. What should it's name be?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Well, my year was lame and uneventful.

But then, one of my sisters came down from Iowa to spend my birthday with me and we had a ball. Her spouse likes to shop and we like to browse for things to mock. We also sem to be psychicly linked because we kept doing things with no plan or spoken word in exactly the same way! It was hilarious.

I have 5 sisters and this is my favorite one, but we are nowhere close in age. I'm #3 of 7 and she is #6 but we get along so much better with each other than either of us do with any of the others.

And she bought me and iPod! So the year has ended nicely.

I don't know, Aurelia...Small Purple Justice?

Damn, I thought I could edit the name. Small Purple Justice would've been fantastic. I had put in Keith as a placeholder and now I can't change it.

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

Is it a bad thing that I read "Small Purple Justice" and think "That'd be a killer name for a drink!" Dunno what it'd have in it but it'd be small, purple and leave your head ringing in the morning. Mmm...
