Goodbye and Good Riddance 2007: Heaven's Just a Funky Moose
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2007? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
Thanks, Santa Aurelia!
For the cute bag containing the following:
"The Tao of The Bada Bing"(the wisdom of the Sopranos)
A Christmas mix disc, which sounds very cool, but I haven't heard yet
Denis Leary's Merry Fucking Christmas
paperback Worst Person In The World
B.org magnet

My Santa is still very secret, but also very prompt for being part of the slacker santas. I won't be betting my slacker santa stuff sent out until January.
I just got a package from Amazon with The Pogues - If I Should fall from Grace With God, and Cowboy Junkies - Pale Sun Crescent Moon.
Santa, all I gotta say is you rock! Also, I just ate another one of the cookies you sent me. Yummy.
Cowboy Junkies - Pale Sun Crescent Moon
That's a great album. Given to me by a theater techie, incidentally. And, oddly, one I deeply associate with gaming.
Sounds like a good techie to know.
My Santa has been revealed! Juliana just sent me an iTunes gift certificate. I'm a very lucky guy!
Yes! It is I!!
Glad you liked the gifts, doll.
I love them! You rock.
Man, it's so lovely reading about everyone's Seekrit Santa glee! I want to hug the lot of you!
eta (What with being in Another Country Altogether, I'll not be seeing my own Seekrit Santa stuff until I'm back in Bangkok in January, incidentally - sorry, Santa! Bad Fay! No gift glee! [yet])
I don't think my giftee will have received a package yet, and I live very very far away from everyone so probably won't get mine for a while. So I guess I'll do a year review...
I started the year off unemployed, but that's not unusual for an archaeologist. DH and I then both got jobs in Northern Ireland, which seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately for me, I kind of hated it there and got into that horible kind of sadness where you're crying four or five times a week for no reason at all. However, that job led to me, in August, getting the job I have now, in Cork. Which I love, and is everything I've ever wanted to do. And though it took some time, DH now has a job that he loves, even if it keeps him away from home a lot. We also had our first anniversary this year, so I guess the whole marriage thing is working out. Y'know, for now.
To sum up, some good, some bad, but ending on a high note.
