Argh. I ordered new contact lenses ten days ago, with three day shipping, figuring that would mean I'd get them within the week. The website says my order is still "processing" -- hasn't even shipped yet!

I used my Christmas bonus to pay down one of my credit cards. Which kinda made it feel like it evaporated sight unseen, but it significantly lowered the principal I'll be paying compound interest on next year. I'm hopeful that I can schedule things so I become debt free when I pay off my car in the summer of 2010.

Now I'm sitting here hoping my family doesn't actually call me to join them for dinner tonight. I'm sure it would be fun, but I'd kind of be crashing a family event, and I don't even have my cousin's Xmas gift with me to give to her, so we'll have to get together again soon anyway. What I really want to do is leave work early-ish and go to Trader Joe's and buy fancy cheese and coffee and whatnot.
