No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

There are only 2 people other than me working today and they are annoying me by playing music without using headphones right above me upstairs. I can just hear the tinny parts. I hate that almost more than anything!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm... still not working. I'm kind of waiting for someone else to get back to me, but I suppose there are other things I could be doing.

I'm one of a few people here, but some of the others include the workers putting up office walls for the new head honcho, which means a lot of drilling noises that are DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! Oh, well, at least I'm only here for a half-day, so I can leave at 2:00.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Teddy's bloodwork came back Not Good. He's back in the hospital while the vets (1) aggressively treat for some Very Bad Things that could be wrong and (2) conduct tests to find out what actually is wrong. He's acting lively and eating, though he vomited again late last night.

Meanwhile, we were so late at the hospital, plus I didn't sleep well even after we finally got to bed, plus the stress has gone right to my back. We're both home sick today.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Noah's such a bundle of fun stuff.

I was surprised San Francisco was only #7.

That sounds about right. But I was surprised to see Boston come in at 10. I've lived in both cities and Boston/Cambridge is definitely more readerly.

::vibing hard for Teddy and his family::

If I come home and don't see Amarna in the first few minutes I open the door, I start to freak out over whether she's either managed to lock herself into one of the two rooms with doors or is curled up sick and/or dead in the corner. Even though she's never had problems, I get paranoid about her. Every time, though, she's been zonked out on the couch or bed and wondering what I'm doing home, disturbing her sleep.

Why isn't it lunchtime yet? Why??

Because I need to get something done before lunch. Sorry! I'll try to concentrate now.
