There's more than one way to skin a cat. And I happen to know that's factually true.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The cell phone coverage is crap in the building.

I never even tried -- I know the cell coverage in the building too well to have dared to hope. But the Touch sounds perfect for the roving internet access project you've been talking about.

If I can't have the reactor, can I borrow shrift?

Like nuclear reactor, shrift leave you unable to produce offspring.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

What about iTunes certificates? Or Starbucks, which have gone over well with recent post-grads in my family.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

bon bon, booze? An engraved flask?

This is an excellent idea...I know because I did it last year. I may still do it again.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

msbelle, I had the opposite problem with someone who retyped the information I gave her, wrongly and repeatedly. I sent her a change order, and she asked me if I wanted it with the spaces (aka "right") this time. I said yes, and that in the future cutting and pasting the text I told her needed to go places is the safest way to work.

She replied that she had no lack of confidence, so she didn't have to cut and paste.

Sure, woman. But you do have a lack of correctness, so you might want to get on that.

Completely different woman didn't tell me the offsite meeting at 11 was cancelled until I called her at 11...because she'd paged me for something else. And now I have to go to a meeting after the staff Christmas party, which I'm not even attending. How exactly can I be grinchier? I need to get to work on that.
