It's because you didn't have a strong father figure isn't it?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Has shrift seen this?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I used to have this until the cat decided it was a toy. $100? Damn.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No pictures, I see.

I don't believe they exist.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Hec, I'm still getting a "no hotlinking" banner instead of Julie Andrew's hoo hahs. It is sad-making.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

No pictures, I see. I don't believe they exist.

Swouncing

Skipping to poke my head for a minute and post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Burrell and her DH's anniversary.

Happy anniversary! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year together!

Also, it's Am-Chau Yarkona's birthday. I haven't seen posts from her in forever, but I hope the well-wishes find their way to her somehow.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Am-Chau also doesn't seem to be very active on LJ either, but I hope that's because she got busy with University and life.

Meantime, I'm having a "who thought morning was a good idea?" morning, much to the cats' disgust.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm taking those cranberry things in to work today. They held up beautifully overnight, which I wasn't sure about. (Someone on the site I got the recipe from posted a question about that, and the response was "yeah, sorry - we ate them to fast to be able to answer that question".)

They're amazing - crunchy on the outside and then they sort of *pop* in your mouth. Definitely a keeper - I think they'll make a great treat to bring to holiday parties rather than one more plate of cookies or cheese ball. The only drawback is you do need to start them the night before, or at least early in the day.
