OK. Cream cheese/pesto/etc torta is done, if totally messy and not up to standards. It will still taste good! Secret snowflake gift is wrapped. Cards for staff are written. I think I'm ready for the office party tomorrow, although I'm starting to think I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on these people.

I've baked 2 doz cookies so far today and will do another 2 doz in the next hour. I did sugar cookies in the shape of Christmas trees and now I'm doing peppermint bonbons (http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1661192&top5=yes). They smell yummy but I've never made them before.

Just had a gust of wind that I mistook for a train going by (I live maybe 20 yds from rail and metro lines. My wineglasses rattle when a freight goes by) it was so loud. We may have avoided the nasty precip, but this wind is fierce.
