Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have a lame gift for you, strega. It's lame. But the thought was lovely.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I woke up early, my apartment is not warm enough, and it seems to be slushy outside. Meh. At least I have a chocolate croissant in the oven.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I woke up LATE (8:30) and found that my windows were mostly white from blowing sticky Snowpocalypse outside, where it is doing a damn good impression of a blizzard out there. I have a feeling it's going to be a good day to curl up with a good book and a warm kitty. Now if I only had a roaring fireplace....

Oh, and:

I feel like a traitor for realising I kinda don't like TOS, and I'm still sniffing at the co-worker who said all SFF on TV that has followed is inferior.

Just quote "The golden age of SF is twelve" at him when he does that.

Or rip off his thumb, depending on your bloodthirstyness of the moment.

Goodness knows, it's what I'd do.

The whole internet is suddenly obsessed with bacon salt.

I think it's still wintry mixing outside, which makes me not want to go out shopping or do laundry. Hmmmm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, I just bought me some bacon salt.

I should go back to bed.

It looks from the weather map that the Wintry Mix may be passing to the south of us -- we'll see. The high winds will remain in effect -- windows are rattling, and I'd better check the furnace a couple times today to make sure the pilot light doesn't get blown out....

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
