Well, another friend came over with like a week's supply of homemade chicken soup. Between that and canned goods, I can avoid further cooking until I'm better.

The one decent thing about today is that I accepted my sister's offer to come look after me for a bit. Other than that, just not sure of the why of anything.

I think I'm going to have to rule out home dilaudid. This itch is worse than with the IV stuff. I'm going to draw blood in a second. I guess in a month I'm going to ask the doctor if the oxycontin offer is still on the table. I hope that doesn't itch too.

I never read the guidelines/side effects notes until after at least the first time I've taken a new med. I check the bottle to see if I have to break up with heavy machinery, but other than that I don't want to give myself ideas. Is that typical?

I've never taken significant meds, and I have the impression that anything by prescription carries some risk of death, birth defects, loss of vision, or whatever else bad you can think up. So yeah, I basically don't read that stuff. Or not until later.

I'd say it's a good idea if side effects might include very suggestible syptoms like itching or nausea.

Yeah, I figure I better stop all that sex and breastfeeding I'm always busy with so who needs to read for all that?

I have to admit to some vindicated fistpumping when eventually reading the side effects sometimes--dysphoria especially. Stadol makes me a raging bitch. I'd like to think I'm a funny bitch, and it seems that I'm an attractive bitch, but I am incontrovertibly megabitch.

Consider that increase if you will.

Anime people--when's it safe to watch the movie? They showed a trailer at the start of this disk (12--where we learn that their father is 400 years old, amongst other things) that looked like it at least took place after the younger brother got a body. Don't want to spoil too much. I also got into Trinity Blood for a hot second, but now TiVo doesn't list any more episodes. What's with that? I thought anime lasted forever and there was no sense of closure. Are we actually up to date?

it was too much. I am beat. It is all this stuff i my head that I have told myself I need to get done BEFORE something. We leave town on Thursday which means gifts to teachers and friends need to be out this week. Then there is the company party tomorrow night and something else and something else. me and my stupid big ideas.

Man, go team productivity, msbelle. I just have all the stuff in my head I have to get done before something...I just don't actually get it done.

Me, I'm having Weekend of Music, which I think is good for my soul. Last night we went to a local steakhouse that has hired a jazz duo for Friday nights. They're great players and really nice guys. We enjoyed the evening, and I had a nice pork chop dinner and a really great mango/raspberry cheesecake. Although it was a ton of food, so technically, I only had a mango cheesecake. In a few minutes here, I'll have the raspberry portion.

Anyway, then we taught all day today. And then went out to the little local symphony. Our trombone player, from our former band, is in the group, and had invited us. We actually bought season tickets, but each time has been a disaster, so this is the first time we've made it. It was fun! The symphony was formed 17 years ago as someone's thesis...that it would be possible for a community our size to support such a group. And indeed, it is. They're not the world's best players, but they tackled some difficult material and did a good job.

Now I've got a fire going, and leftover pork chops, and a sleepy dog, and I'm about to have cheesecake, so I am a happy girl.
