Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

hip deep in pie

I am having a snacky lunch. Hummus and pita, a banana, two apples. Basically I grabbed anything that didn't required prep from my kitchen. I don't think it's going to be enough.

I just had a very long and kind of frustrating doctor's appointment. Grrr.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sounds great, Dana.

msbelle's elevenses remind me that I still need to eat breakfast.

Also to shower and get dressed and go to work.

Punishingly Intricate

I am having elevenses of a latte and 3 donuts.

OH! I want this one! I'm having another cup of coffee. Usually I bring a travel mug w/ coffee from home and that's all the coffe I'll drink all day but I've left both of my travel mugs at friends' houses. So I am drinking the very good work coffee. In a big colorful stripey mug! I probably shouldn't drink this whole cup but, dag, it's good.

however, I have no donut.

I'll be leaving for Chipotle in a few minutes.

I'm leaving for the pub in twenty minutes. Mmm, mid-week beer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mmm...Chipotle. I'm going to get my usual -- smoked turkey and brie. Yum!

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I gave up and broke out my lunch.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's not diplomatic to use "we" in that situation; it's passive-aggressive.

I need to get this made poster size and hang it in my office.

And the teacher who did it had never spoken to me before. Didn't remember my name. Said she'd meet me in my office then called down and asked her if I would come up to her room. Asked me what my protocol was and after I told her said, "Well D (last guy in this position from last year) used to sit with me" (which is beyond passive-aggressive). Then when I walked in handed two stacks of papers to grade.

I guess I'm sort of still chapped.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Do any of you have a different reaction between offering to do something, very publicly and very often, and between someone assuming you will do the exact same thing?

Yes.

"We?" Do you mean, "me"? Because if it's me, it'll take a little bit longer than if we are ALL working on this project. So let us be clear that we is me.

And HELL YES.

Anyone have a cool-mist humidifier they love? I can't afford a bigger Venta, and the one we have isn't powerful enough for either bedroom.
