"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, I am just now finishing my work for the day. What is wrong with this picture? (Admittedly I didn't technically start till around 5 PM, Arizona time. This is what life is like working for ourselves.)

Still, I feel like I got a lot accomplished, both for work and for the house (bought tile! did math to calculate paintable surface areas! decided on paint colors! set up a website for our new project! sent email to the board regarding banking issues!)

So now I'm tired, but hopefully the day was productive and the week will be, too. Painting starting next Wednesday! Work team for tiling scheduled in for the 27th!

We won't be in by Christmas, but we should be in mid January if all goes well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Whee! I'm always cheered by hearing the news about Impending House.

I woke up WITHOUT a sinus headache, so the day is already a big win.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I hate it when I fall asleep on the couch early in the evening, and then wake up at 3:00 am, unable to fall back asleep. Good thing is that I'm off today so I can head down to my dad's and pick up some stuff he got from his sister. I'm going to wait until after rush hour to see if they manage to clean the freezing rain off the roads.

This is a fun cat vs. dog video for your morning amusement!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Watching the news, I now realize why I was getting freaking-out messages from my coworker who is coming here to Indy this morning -- it's already 40 degrees here, so no ice! But apparently ice everywhere else.

Our wings are not tired.

All the people in the huge swatch of map that shows ice, stay home! Drink hot cocoa. Watch DVDs. Be safe.

Last weekend. Friday, work, Saturday, work, Sunday, work. Blah. Back to work now....

We didn't have an ice storm overnight -- but we had a pretty impressive Frost Event, as in a sparkly coat of rime over everything -- shiny windshields, glittering blades of grass. A pain to have to scrape off, but pretty in its way.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I was a little bit sick over the weekend, and I didn't sleep much, so last night I went to bed good and early at 9:00pm, so I could get a full night's rest.

So then I got a call at 2:30am this morning from work; I had to dial in and reboot a server.

ION, Greek yogurt is yummy.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Poor Tom.

Trust my rage

Is it too late to talk about my weekend?

Friday - took Ellie to an award ceremony Joe was in charge of. She had a rgeat time harrassing a 6 year-old who didn't seem to know what to do with Ellie. I stepped in when it stopped being fun.

Saturday - went to the beach but it was too windy to be fun. Got breakfast as usual. Got our Chrstmas tree (huge and cheap!). Saw a movie with Joe. Went to a barbeque with new friends and some old friends.

Sunday - went to church but left in the middle of a depressing sermon. Took Ellie to get donuts instead. Went grocery shopping with Ellie. Napped with Ellie. Decorated tree while Ellie napped some more. Cleaned backyard in preperation for party on Thursday. Went to dinner and then to bed.

Monday - left work early due to very sore back from all the work on Sunday.
