Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I just sent an evite to about 20 people, for ice skating next week.

Wear lots of padding!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I made a shockingly delicious pasta with broccoli and anchovies.

Delicious and broccoli have no business being in the same sentence.

But anchovies get a pass?!

Holy fuck. I googled an old friend that I'd sadly lost (recurring theme, call me up and bitch please.) She had a kid 6 weeks ago. Frickin cute. Tell me that flickr's mail-thingy works cause I just sent her a HOLY SHIT YOU MAKE PRETTY BABIES let's reconnect message via that.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Flickr's mail thing does work.

ita, I am sorry I had to go back to work. I don't like having to abandon you. nor was I fan of not being able to get your charger. But I did pick up Noah before pick up time at day care was over.

Also, I'm just back from Target and I have a slipper socks for you. They are blue this time (were the last one's black?) with an embrodiered sock monkey.

Now I'm worried that Allyson got lost on her way to see ita.

Also, shrift, sorry about playboy falling through.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oh fuckity! ita, I just checked into b.org, I had no idea you were in the hospital today. I'd have found a way to come by, forced Cody to take the kids into work or something.

Ugh. And it sounds like they aren't doing much of anything to help, either. This sucks. I'm so sorry.

sara, go get some of these funky colloidal advanced healing bandages: [link]

They are thick and soft and stay on for many days and keep water out and ooze in, so your owie won't scab and crack and scab and crack. Get ones that are big enough to leave some margin around your owie, so that the edges stick to your skin and make a good seal.

I can vouch for those funky bandages. They minimize scarring, too.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Those things are the Way and the Light. I swear by them. In fact, I was rec'ing them earlier to someone in meatspace. And the blister ones.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

somebody beat me to the bandaid recommendation.

Matt plays Jazz on Thursday nights at a local restaurant. a very good restaurant / tonights dinner ciapino just the way I like it- not to saucy and I could have told yo what every piece of seafood was by taste. perfect. I also found out that there are a billion people in this world that don't like it. crazy people. then dessert was an apple tart with cheddar cheese melted on it. Turns out that except for the chef no one on the kitchen staff had ever heard of such a thing. I thought Ca had sophisticated eaters. oh well, All I can say is nom, nom, nom,

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

including a yummy yummy slice of walnut, pear, and gorgonzola pizza.

If that's from the pizzeria I'm thinking it is, I've been flirting with trying it every time I've ordered pizza for the past couple of weeks (which has happened, um, way too often), but I haven't quite taken the plunge. Maybe next time I'll actually try it.

Party went well, though I didn't actually get a picture of my collage package due to my commute home being so hectic I didn't have time. But the person who ended up with the gift folded the paper carefully to save it because she liked the images, and I heard her and her neighbor in the circle musing over the mix of images (and between the actual historical images and the assorted actors, it was a mix) and deciding that the theme was "warriors." I hadn't thought of it in exactly those terms, but that's pretty much right.
