Well, ice cream is a good thing, right? Doctor WITH ice cream (and a freakin' cure) would have been ideal.
Hey, does anybody have a good, easy suggestion for me for cooking the salmon filets i have defrosting in my fridge right now? I'm going to roast some potatoes & green beans with it. I rarely have cooked fish (although I love it) so i'm a little unsure.
Any drugs, at least??
OK, who wants to help me with my Secret Snowflake (seriously) gift for work? It has to start with DB, and be under $10, so David Boreanaz is out. I was thinking drawstring bag, but I'm not sold on the idea. I think I have a little disco ball ornament somewhere I can tie on the gift, too. What else? Some kind of book? I don't know her taste, so I guess I could call a blank notebook a drawing book. Help me, Buffistas! You're my only hope.
mac was hit in the face today by another student. I got a call from the nurse this morning, BUT NO NOTE FROM TEACHER OR PRINCIPAL. There is a mark from his nose to his lip.
This child has been a problem for mac before, but nothing physical besides pushing.
I have a great desire to slap this child.
I need to write a note to school demanding information I guess. what a pain.

Baste them with either soy sauce or melted butter, roll them in crushed nuts (pecans are best, but almonds or macadamias could work), dust with dill or whatever other herbs you like with seafood, and bake for 12-15 minutes at 400° in a foil-lined pan. If you want to throw them in the oven before they've thawed, up the cooking time to 16-20 minutes.
I'm hoping ita's ice cream is laced with painkillers. It would be only fair.

In reverse news, we learned this morning that Casper head-butted another child at her school earlier this week. While wearing a pink dress and sparkly shoes, to boot.
(I gather there was no serious injury, so I hope not in the same range of badness as the mac case; also, she's only four, but still. Impulse control, o daughter!)
oh yikes flea - sorry. there is no good side on these things. kids is hard.
ita--house-ma to your next doctor.
Shrift, tough break.
