No, Steph! I wasn't chiding (please forgive). I was just thinking about how aggravating of an experience it sounds like for tiggy and how the solution seems so easy to me (and us) but we don't have to work with those people for the rest of the year.

This is a huge learning for me personally...I don't do it professionally, oddly enough...but making assumptions about what is easy is one way I can be terribly obnoxious. Got to learn how to be supportively irely, in a non-off putting way.
eta: and frankly, I'm so irefilled about my own sitch that I've got plenty to spare for anyone who needs a good footstamping, whiney fit. I'm here for you...and should probably go soak my head.
Did you see my Bitches post Steph? Now, if you say you are left handed and an Aries, Ima haveta start believing in the whole separated by birth...and a decade at least...theory.
Heh -- right-handed and a Cancer on the cusp of Gemini. But I'm not discounting the possibility of a shared brain....

Oh, I didn't think you were; your post just made me consider that I might have been adding to a pile-on in a situation where tiggy already has enough aggravation.
My boss ismaking me look crazy. Or maybe I am making me look crazy. Or maybe the situation is just crazy.
... I think it is the latter, and I'm not in the mood for crazy right now.
Speaking of what's "easy," I just heard that my boss was dithering around about something I was supposed to have done, but about which I had no memory. I went back to my desk and found the email telling me to do it. I just said to boss, "Yeah, I did have that email, and I just dropped the ball... but I'll pick it back up." And I think that will be OK!
I'll let you know if my 2pm meeting with her is an hour on the topic of my dropping the ball, but I have high hopes we are done with that part of the conversation.
My boss ismaking me look crazy.I vote this.
After combing through the last month's worth of email (am I glad I'm having problems keeping on top of emails lately and so my oh-so-useful response is to not delete much of anything, which means I have it all, even the stupid auto-reminders? This time, yes) it's very clearly the situation and my boss just doesn't know how crazy it is.
I'm also given to understand that, since it is a one unit situation (over a liquor store), I am sol in terms of rights.
yes, a lot of the landlord/tenant laws won't apply to you because your landlord isn't a "landlord" in the legal sense, becuase he doesn't have enough units.
Are you on a month to month lease?
As I think about it, landlords can only raise the rent by a certain percentage per year. I want to say 3% is the maximum. But, again, not sure if that applies here.
