My boss ismaking me look crazy. Or maybe I am making me look crazy. Or maybe the situation is just crazy.

... I think it is the latter, and I'm not in the mood for crazy right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Speaking of what's "easy," I just heard that my boss was dithering around about something I was supposed to have done, but about which I had no memory. I went back to my desk and found the email telling me to do it. I just said to boss, "Yeah, I did have that email, and I just dropped the ball... but I'll pick it back up." And I think that will be OK!

I'll let you know if my 2pm meeting with her is an hour on the topic of my dropping the ball, but I have high hopes we are done with that part of the conversation.

After combing through the last month's worth of email (am I glad I'm having problems keeping on top of emails lately and so my oh-so-useful response is to not delete much of anything, which means I have it all, even the stupid auto-reminders? This time, yes) it's very clearly the situation and my boss just doesn't know how crazy it is.

I'm also given to understand that, since it is a one unit situation (over a liquor store), I am sol in terms of rights.

yes, a lot of the landlord/tenant laws won't apply to you because your landlord isn't a "landlord" in the legal sense, becuase he doesn't have enough units.

Are you on a month to month lease?

As I think about it, landlords can only raise the rent by a certain percentage per year. I want to say 3% is the maximum. But, again, not sure if that applies here.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

In CA, it wouldn't.

This is why I don't like giving gift cards.

I don't like giving gift cards because you trade convenient money that you can spend anywhere at any time for inconvenient money that in some cases expires.
