You could try face-planting onto the table leg, then eating strawberry jellybeans... nah, got nothing.
(Aside, "all natural strawberry jellybeans" from Whole Foods? Good, but WTF?)

Ah, I got your falling all taken care of. Thankfully I haven't gone face forwards onto anything harder than carpet, and my last fall (today? yesterday?) only resulted in a bruised butt.
I don't have jellybeans. That might be what I'm doing wrong. I think I'll see if applesauce helps.
ita, if you think my waving Clovis (or any of the stuffed monsters) in your direction would possibly help your head, let me know. But that's about the only thing I can come up with that I could do.
flea - do you have any arnica in the house? It works - even a few hours after. Swear. How do I know this? ::polishes dented wtfmom?!* tiara::
face-planting onto the table leg
flea clearly does not remember that our brother, when he was a toddler, got the sobriquet "Natty Bumppo" from our grandfather, on the occasion of his having a goose-egg on his forehead consistently over the course of three years.
(Culminating in his first ER trip for stitches in his face. His first of three.)
Re: Gorey - Signals was what I was thinking of, thanks! Gorey Details is awesome, though. I've ordered from there before. GF wants the 2 books in the Signals catalog and I couldn't remember what they were.
I roasted a butternut squash and am going to mix it with some whole wheat pasta. Am thinking about crumbling some bleu cheese in. Yay or nay? (I have about 5 minutes to decide before the pasta is done.)
You know, aside from yellow squash and zucchini, I never got the squash thing. Mom used to roast halves of something with brown sugar and it grossed me out. For the same reasons I am suspicious of cooked yams and sweet potatos. It's a sweet thing. I don't like lobster or crab and I put them in that same weird sweet category. It's ooky to me.
I don't know about butternut with bleu -- sounds like it could be weird, could be good. But Sara, I'm your squash opposite! I still don't like yellow squash and zucchini, after all these years (my parents love them, so there have been Many Opportunities to try them), but I love winter squash.
I roasted some sweet potatoes last night. Vons had a sale on the precut little bags of sweet potatoes (so indulgent), but I figured better to pay lazy tax vs. not eating vegetables. Roasted in the oven with olive oil and salt and pepper. SO DAMN GOOD. That was remarkably easy. Love the salty crispy edges.
Plus, warmed the house with the oven usage.
