Like how people who play games where you're driving a car don't think they are actually going any where?
HAHAHA

Aaaand I'm back to wanting to punch people in the face. Lunch glee was short-lived.
It's fun to translate the comments to other types of games.
Part of me feels that Oblivion is yet another example of our culture's increased tolerance of phoniness, whether for the sake of simplicity or out of sheer denial. It's certainly easier to pretend to chop up zombies or to dodge fireballs than to actually do either.
Well, yeah. I immediately thought of Grand Theft Auto. How many of those folks think they are actually stealing and driving a car?
shrift, there IS Glee in face punching.
there IS Glee in face punching.
Hell, yes.
I've heard that being a krav black belt doesn't help that much with Wii boxing, which must be frustrating.

Ain't that the truth! Dag.
Well, I need my paycheck, so I won't get much glee out of punching one of my supervisors for mild douchebaggery.

It's certainly easier to read about other people having marital affairs or watch John McClane destroy helicopters than to actually do either.
OH! this is like madlibs!!
So funny. Zombies! Fiction!
We have GH and RB at home, and I'm rolling my eyes forever at the idea that someone thinks anyone playing those games is under the illusion that they're playing real instruments. I played violin/viola for 15 years, and I suck at the game, but I have a great time playing it.
When someone elsewhere made a comment about GH and RB "cheapening" music, ND replied, "So you're saying that music should be elitist?" We both agree that anything that gets kids (or adults, for that matter) to appreciate music is a good thing.
