Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

With a mask! And spandex!

Can I just say that I love my mother? She knew of my vacumn cleaner issues when she came out this summer, so when she went home, she set aside her extra vacumn to give to me instead of putting it in the neighborhood garage sale. I brought it back this past weekend and finally plugged it in an hour ago. OMG, I finally have a vacumn that actually works!! I don't need to follow up a vacuming with a damp towel to rub off all the cat hair that didn't get picked up! My beige carpet looks beige, not dingy light grey! I called Mom to thank her profusely.

I really wish I could get Mac and D together. There is nearly a 2 year difference, but oh, D would LOVE talking transformers with Mac!

So years ago, I read this bio about an african american kid who had been raised in the Soviet Union. His parents had immigrated there because they thought that life would be better, less racist etc. Can any of you help me find the book again?

Doesn't ring a bell here, sorry. But I'd be interested when you do find out what it is. Ran into all sorts of weird-to-me -isms in the USSR in 1991 and central europe later. Almost needless to say, didn't improve my perception of humanity any. We so suck.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. That sounds really interesting.

Did things, say, not turn out quite as good as they hoped?
