Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just told my boss "I am not ambitious about my professional life."

I almost told my boss I'm not ambitious about my current job just last week! Although I am slightly ambitious about my next job....

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

for me it clearly goes beyond one job to the next. I never want to be top dog with regard to responsibility and expectations.

That's fair. I mean, shit, there have to be a zillion people who aren't top dog, so why not you?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love krav that much. I just don't have those depths to pull from.

Professionally I just want to do the things I like and get paid more than cozily for it. My ranking relative to other people only matters in passing, in shallow moments.

OK, acupuncture done. I just gotta try to not cry again before therapy. Best Buy and Sephora-what are the odds?

Sephora and Best Buy have both made me cry in the past.

Ahrg. I was supposed to pick up another special food for Dev after worrk. I forgot until 2 pm today. The vet's closes at 2. I've pretty much wasted most of today. Bleah.

Jesus. Someone died during the Olympics marathon trials this morning. I hate those stories -- a girl I knew in college had a boyfriend who dropped dead while running.

hip deep in pie

I never want to be top dog with regard to responsibility and expectations.

That's why I think that being my own boss would be great. My problem is that I'm too shy and awkward for the business part. I'd need a partner to gladhand and schmooze.

OMG, my friend and I were talking about my new job this morning, and I said, "Well it's not my own pie shop or movie theatre..." And she said, "A movie theatre that serves pie!!!!" Then I came back with, "A theme pie for the movie of the week!" Now if I just had the money and wherewithal to make it so.
