Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Private Practice: in the scene where Violet was naked and Cooper was getting naked, the body double for Violet was TOTALLY A DUDE! I mean, it *had* to be, or Amy B. has a very masculine looking body.

Matt, the whole rest of the episode happened! That was only like ten minutes into the show!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

empress, I didn't notice, but I was running around like a mad thing

wanted to know if any of you have any info on the laptop itself?

It is a bit of an appliance, it runs Linux (a modified Fedora Core OS) so no iTunes, and additional software is limited to Linux. There's lots of software for Linux, but I doubt the OLPC is designed to add much. The specs aren't really sufficient to run a full featured Linux desktop in any event. OTOH, no serious threats from malware.

It's a cool piece of hardware though, I'd buy one just to have an ultra efficient laptop for travel and Internet access around the house. I don't think it would be very good if it was your sole computer.

Gud, even if you are 8-years-old? I mean, I guess I'm trying to figure out if I should get one after donating one or just donate both? And if I get one, it would be okay enough to give to a kid in my life?

As long as the 8 year old isn't expecting to run Pet Vet, Math Blaster, or whatnot on it I think it would be just great.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That laptop intrigues me. I try and see it in the context of Jamaica, and it's not quite snapping into focus. I forwarded it to my cause-oriented sister and we'll see what she makes of it.

It is way too early for me to have already finished one meeting.

Has anybody here ever given double red blood cells? I'm curious how long it takes and what you feel like afterwards.
