Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

No, Lee. you aren't. I blame Halloween.

Works for me!

Hey, BTW, what are your thanksgiving plans?

Ah crap. I forgot to make any.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wasn't even at work on Monday, and the week was really long!

Also, a selling point of my building was the fact that even the stairways have windows. As do all the rooms in my apartment. I've had to walk up and/or down pitch black stairways in power outages a couple of times before, and it's cuh-reepy.

One wall of the stairwell is all windows. Doesn't do shit when the interior lights are off after sunset. I've been unlocking my door by feel and warily making my way up the stairs. It ain't a great neighborhood, it's a serious secuity issue. I've bitched twice (this started due to a blackout) and still the asses in maintenance haven't fixed it. I even mentioned it to my best maintenance guy in passing, but I figure he just forgot. He's from Trinidad, I like just talking to him and he helped me kick their asses with the a/c.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well, yeah. That's no good in the long term!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

So...apparently it's not so much that nobody was posting in Natter as it was that I'd forgotten to subscribe to the new thread. Iiiiiinteresting...

DAMN. We were all whispering thinking you wouldn't find us.

Cashmere, THANK YOU for the button up the front girl clothes! I am going to take them to Grace within the next week.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Only 40 a day.

I'm a horrid arid-dweller. I just took a hot shower because I COULD. I didn't need it, except feeling gross from the morning's bucket bath.

My god, that felt good.

Daisy! (catching up) be sure to ride the old original subway in Budapest! I think it's the yellow line, but I'm not sure. It's the one on tank treads. Fun! Or it was, in 1996 (holy fuck, that's a time ago!) I was discombobulated in BP for a bunch of reasons, but I wish I weren't. I clearly recall that metro ride, phone cards, getting lost in the boonies trying to find some flea market, some church/castle structure and Gellert(? fawncy cafe and pastry shop. Espresso in the most delicate of flowered cups. You could see through them.)
