but I had one of those boxes of tapers from Ikea and I haven't been able to find it since I moved.
I found my emergency candle stash! 100 tapers and 500 tealights. Which are all almost gone now, actually. Time for another IKEA trip.

Believe it or not, I am charging up my old iPod that doesn't really work anymore, because it sits here in the desk in the basement, which will inevitably be where I am when the power goes out. I've used my iPod more than once as a light source.
